The Cuyahoga County Coroner’s Office is once again offering an educational outreach program for academic year 2009-2010 to high school students who have an interest in the scientific, medical and forensic fields.
We have designed a two-day experience (Tuesdays and Wednesdays ONLY) that will begin in September 2009 and end in May 2010. There is a maximum participation of fifteen (15) students per session on the following dates:
| September 15 & 16, 2009 |
February 9 & 10, 2010 |
| October 20 & 21, 2009 |
March 9 & 10, 2010 |
| November 17 & 18, 2009 |
April 13 & 14, 2010 |
| December 15 & 16, 2009 |
May 11 & 12, 2010 |
| January 12 & 13, 2010 |
|
On Tuesdays, Community Outreach Specialists will work with students and provide an overview presentation and tour of the Coroner’s Office, to include LifeBanc operations. In addition, one or more presenters from other departments will interact with the students. On Wednesdays, students will have an opportunity to interact and/or interview professionals in the various departments of the Coroner’s Office.
If by chance we receive more requests than can be accommodated on a specific date, students will be selected through a competitive process. In closing, we thank those schools that participated in this program last year.
