The Quality Assurance & Safety Manager reviews all Standard Operating Procedures, Quality Assurance and Safety manuals to determine compliance with Federal, State and local regulations. He identifies problems related to Quality Assurance and Safety, evaluates and recommends policy changes, chairs the Safety Committee, schedules Safety training, maintains records, reviews and updates the Office Safety manual and Exposure Control Plan and works closely with all departments for continuous quality improvement and compliance with OSHA’s Bloodborne Pathogens and Hazard Communications Standards, Ohio’s Public Employment Risk Reduction Program, Ohio Department of Health’s Radiation Protection Program, Ohio EPA’s Large Generator of Infectious Waste regulations and other accreditation and safety standards.
